Become a Volunteer

Home > Become a Volunteer

We are on a mission to help children in need across Africa.

Volunteers are the true heart and soul of Donate 2Africa. Every time a donation is made, it signifies the birth of hope, illuminating a path to a brighter future. Each time a volunteer raises their hand, it marks the arrival of an angel—ready to inspire hope, ignite change, and transform lives. Together, they weave a tapestry of compassion and impact, creating a world where every act of kindness brings us closer to empowering African communities and fostering brighter futures.

Requirements

After completing the health requirements and attending an orientation workshop, you need to schedule an interview with the Donate 2Africa Director of Volunteers to determine the best placement for you. You’ll then meet with the supervisor of your selected department to assess compatibility and discuss training and potential work schedules.

Volunteers must provide health clearance information

All volunteer candidates must attend an orientation workshop before placement. Please bring your application and health records (see health information below) to the orientation. If you are a student, you must also provide a completed recommendation form. Contact Volunteer Services for details on upcoming orientation dates, the application, and the recommendation form.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to work in Child Life Services. However, we offer the Summer Student Program, which is open to high school students aged 17 and older who need to fulfill specific community service hours.

All volunteer assignments have a minimum commitment of 3 consecutive months. Volunteers must serve at least two to four hours a week.
